ADDO L95 POST LIGHT

Design: Friis & Moltke Design

The square tube and vertical light panel give the ADDO L95 pole light its unusual, minimalistic quality. At night, it illuminates the countryside with a vertical streak of light.

The post light consists of a square steel tube with a narrow, rectangular opening in a longitudinal direction at the top. The light shines out from here through a panel of slanted slats. This gives the ADDO L95 an oblong light surface. The slats mean the light from the post light is focussed downwards resulting in very little light pollution.

When placed in rows, the vertical aspects of the ADDO L95 create attractive architectural levels and lines both day and night.

In daylight, you can almost trace the edges of the ADDO L95 with your eyes. It is one of the few lights that can stand alone as a totally pure, square element. The ADDO L95 functions well when it is placed along pathways, driveways or car parks to complement unusual buildings.

An architect-designed post light with light on one or all four sides

The ADDO L95 can be supplied with light apertures on 1, 2, 3 or 4 sides. This flexibility means the ADDO L95 post light can be positioned to provide specific focus in a particular area. When placed centrally in a square or open space, the pole can be adjusted to illuminate the whole area around it. Unilateral or all-round lighting can provide the desired effect along paths or near buildings.

Post light by Friis & Moltke Design in steel, aluminium and acrylic

The ADDO L95 post is made of hot-dip galvanised steel which can be powder coated in any RAL colour. The panel of slats is in white aluminium which is covered by a clear, acrylic plate. The acrylic plate is shockproof and UV-resistant, making the ADDO L95 a vandal-proof post light that will not become discoloured when exposed to sunlight.

All four lights in the ADDO series designed by Friis & Moltke Design feature their characteristic, minimalistic lines. The series has been updated to include energy-saving LED light technology. Somewhat unusually, the post light is also available in a 1 metre high version – the ADDO L95 MINI – in which the light panel and pole have the same dimensions as the park version. In addition, the ADDO is also available as a bollard light in the ADDO L96 version, and as an outdoor wall light in the ADDO L96V version. The bollard and wall lights also match each other in terms of dimensions.
