The ELMAR L33 brings Friis & Moltke’s concept of simplicity to bollard lighting. The black cylinder, familiar from the ELMAR L3 wall light, is combined with a well-proportioned post. The ELMAR L33 features a classic, sculptural silhouette that exudes quality whether unlit in daylight or at night. The bollard brings a distinctive yet harmonious sense of character to any terrace or lawn.

Combine the bollard with Friis & Moltke’s ELMAR L3 outdoor wall light to deliver visual continuity between an outdoor space and a façade. The light housing for the bollard has the same dimensions as the ELMAR L3 (Ø 120 mm), but can naturally also be combined with the large version of the ELMAR wall light (Ø 160 mm).

The ELMAR L33 comes in black as standard. Powder-coating takes place at our facility in Kolding, and we can supply most RAL colours, so please contact us if you require other colours.

The post has no visible hatch for technical access to maintain the clean, simple look characteristic of the Friis & Moltke design. To ensure easy installation, the light has been designed so that the post is mounted on a base containing the connection box and base flange.

The light source is LED, shielded below by a satiné shade. This ensures pleasant, diffused illumination.

Both post and light housing are made from cast aluminium by Danish subcontractors. The light is assembled in Kolding.

ELMAR lights for indoor and outdoor use

The ELMAR L33 is part of the ELMAR range, based on the original L3 light design from Friis & Moltke.

Knud Friis and Elmar Moltke designed L3 around 1970. Then, as now, the light was characterised by its prominent cylinder. The L3 was one of the first lights to come from the collaboration between Lampas as producer and Friis & Moltke as designer.

The distinctive cylinder light was also produced several times as a bollard, but this never became part of the standard Lampas range. In 2023, the L3 was relaunched as the ELMAR L3 outdoor wall light. It is now followed by the ELMAR L3 MINI* indoor wall light and the ELMAR L33 bollard. The entire range is named after Elmar Moltke.
