The name OTTO refers to the two circles that form the light housing; one connects to the post, while the other provides the light. The circles are connected by sloping lines, bringing the elements together as a coherent whole. The light has a friendly and welcoming look, and is a pleasing addition to the urban environment for passers-by.

OTTO L1700 has been designed by German architect Johannes Lindner, with the aim of improving public spaces. This post light is intended to reflect serenity, warmth and security. Well-thought-out simplicity with no unnecessary details was Lindner’s aim, in order to deliver aesthetics and quality and thus a positive experience.

Thanks to its simple design with very few components, the light is easy to produce, assemble and install. For improved robustness, extra care was taken to avoid use of plastic parts. The light is produced in Denmark, with lighting technology from European manufacturers.

Well-designed light fixture for design posts and standard posts

You can choose OTTO L1700 as just a light fixture or with its own post.

It comes with a Ø88.9 mm post as standard. This design post gives the light character and a cohesive look.

The light fixture has been designed for easy installation on Ø60 mm standard posts. This allows OTTO L1700 to be used on both stepped and tapered posts, and it also means that it can be used as a replacement light fixture for existing Ø60 mm standard posts. The well-thought-out technical design makes installing the light fixture an easy and intuitive process.

Light housings can be supplied with a powder coating in a colour of your choice, while posts can be supplied with a plain, hot-dip galvanised finish or powder-coated in a colour of your choice.

Comfort optics and low light-pollution levels

OTTO L1700 provides uniform, glare-free illumination, diffused by its shade. The circular shade is 320 mm wide and 60 mm in height. It runs diagonally from outer to inner diameter, making it appear as if the light is directed inwards.

Upward light pollution is reduced, as the light housing encircles the upper rim of the shade.
