Property developer: Moesgaard Museum
Architect: Henning Larsen, Kristine Jensens Tegnestue, COWI
Year built: 2014
The expansion of the Moesgaard Museum and the surrounding landscape was carried out in 2014. The cultural history museum, which the architectural firm Henning Larsen has built into one of the hillsides in Skåde, is a visual and architectural icon. The landscaped gardens surrounding it with the approach, lawns and parking was designed by Architect Kristine Jensen’s Design Studio and harmonises completely with the building and the sloping, green roof landscape.
Using the ADDO series, Lampas has delivered lighting fixtures in the same simple lines as the museum building.
The post light ADDO L95 post light is used in the car park, where it helps to emphasise the progression of flat terraces, built into the hill. The avenue, which leads pedestrians up the hill to the museum’s entrance, is lined by the ADDO L96 bollard.
In total, Lampas has supplied 36 ADDO L95 post lights and 33 ADDO L96 bollards. The products are delivered with one-sided light openings.
