With its broad, flat cone turned upside down, the QUINTUS L500 is a post light that distinguishes itself from its surroundings, while promoting a dialogue with them, too.
In the dark, it lights up like a triangular beacon. During the day, with its few elements – the pole, transparent cone and black cover – it is simplicity itself, allowing the sky to be seen through the screen.
The QUINTUS L500 looks good in suburban streets and residential cul-de-sacs, where its clean lines add a homely touch. It´s more than just a street light with LED. Use it to create a pleasant, expressive and cohesive townscape in residential areas.
The pure lines that characterise the QUINTUS L500, can also be used to create an atmospheric setting in pedestrian streets or town squares.
The post light provides efficient lighting, which is reflected downwards towards the road and pavement from the cover at the top. This means the QUINTUS L500 is also suitable for use in car parks and other areas that require strong lighting.
The QUINTUS L500 was designed by C.F Møller Design in 2006. It is used, for example, to provide street lighting in the Skanderborg Bakker Residential Development.
In 2020, the street light was upgraded to energy-efficient LED technology. The lighting unit is therefore concealed in the pole. The LED light source shines upwards towards the reflective cover, to ensure that the QUINTUS L500 distributes the light evenly and with a low degree of light pollution. The concealed light source also means that this street light is glare-free.
The top cover is made out of rotational plastic material, while the transparent screen is made of shockproof, UV-resistant acrylic. The top portion (between the pole and screen) is manufactured in die cast aluminium, powder coated in black as standard. The pole is made of galvanised steel, powder coated upon request.
“The importance of good lighting in terms of creating rooms, mood, orientation and safety can almost never be overestimated, according to C.F. Møller Design
