COVER L303 POST LIGHT

Design: Luplau Poulsen Architects

The COVER L303 is a modern post light in which the post and screen are combined in a long, slender cylinder with the light at the top.

Because of its translucent shade, in daylight the COVER L303 possesses the unique quality of allowing its surroundings to shine through. The eye is drawn through the screen to the background behind it, letting the sky, sea view, landscape or building itself take centre stage. The post itself is of high quality and is simple in its design.

In the evening, the light source in the COVER L303 is concealed in the post, from where it shines up towards a reflector situated at the top of the light. The overall impression is one of a modern street light in which the light source itself is hidden from view, giving a comfortable, glare-free light in the urban environment.

Designer lights that support architecture and the landscape

The COVER L303 is suitable for places and buildings where you want to support the surrounding architecture or landscape that is particularly characteristic. The post light is discreet during the daytime and provides subdued lighting in the dark. It is one of our more popular lighting products, which we have seen used as outdoor lighting in places such as churches or waterfronts.

COVER as a bollard

The post light is shaped to withstand the rigours of public life. The post is made of hot-dip galvanised steel which can be powder coated in any RAL colour. The solid aluminium lid on the top of the light is normally supplied in grey in order to preserve the light’s ability to blend in naturally with its surroundings.

The tube-shaped screen is made of 10 mm clear acrylic, which is shockproof and makes the COVER L303 vandal-proof. Acrylic is also UV-resistant, so the screen will retain its transparency for many years to come.

The COVER L303 provides a rotationally symmetrical, indirect light which can be converted to asymmetrical with the help of a unilateral reflector.

The COVER L303 is available in three standard heights – 3.1 m, 3.6 m and 4.1 m.

The COVER L303 was designed by Luplau Poulsen Architects. The COVER Series also includes a bollard version, the COVER L702 and a post light with screen, the COVER L701, designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects.
