MIRUM L1400 STREET LIGHT FIXTURE

Design: Studio Hammer

MIRUM L1400 is a street light fixture with an unusually beautiful shape. The housing and lighting technology have been carefully designed around one another. The circular housing becomes a feature of the streetscape, without the design being too dominant. MIRUM L1400’s clear light and welcoming shape help to create friendly urban spaces.

It can be used in any urban environment, from approach roads and suburban cycle paths to cathedral squares.

In technical terms, MIRUM L1400 can satisfy any street-lighting requirements. At the same time it has a distinctive quality that enables an architect or urban planner to create a rather unique urban space when combining it with posts and arms.

Multiple MIRUM lights on the same post provide an organic or sculptural feature, depending on the height of the post, the angle of the arms and the architect’s concept. Lampas offers a wide range of unique arms. Posts can be up to 12 metres in height. Contact our lighting team to find out more.

Street light fixture with low light pollution

MIRUM L1400 is side-mounted on a Ø 48 mm lamp post spigot. The circular housing encloses the light source from above, so the light shines downward with no upward light pollution. Furthermore, the light source is recessed inside the housing to avoid light pollution to the sides and to give a soft reflection of light into the curves of the housing.

MIRUM L1400 is Dark Sky Approved by DarkSky International. This means that the lamp with the right settings can be used to create a dark-friendly lighting, where blue light, light spill and light pollution are reduced for the benefit of biodiversity and stargazers.

Light distribution and colour temperature can be adapted to the needs of the specific project. MIRUM L1400 is suitable for a sensor and can be combined with a variety of lighting control systems.

The light housing is made of mold-cast aluminium, which is powder-coated in grey as standard. The fixture is ‘made for disassembly’ and can easily be separated into recyclable materials once the light reaches the end of its useful life.

Street light fixture designed by Bjarne Hammer

MIRUM L1400 was designed in 2022 by Bjarne Hammer, who is the founder of Studio Hammer. One of the focus points has been designing the fixture so that it provides an attractive and pleasing feature even when viewed in daylight.

MIRUM L1400 is thus an addition to the range of Lampas lights that deliver on technical lighting requirements, while also providing a great design experience.
