You can find an LED replacement kit for the DOT L301 wall light here. This simple, circular outdoor light can be seen installed in many locations around the world. Keep the light and simply replace the lighting technology with an up-to-date LED retrofit kit.
The kit is available for both sizes of light. The small DOT L301 is 280 mm in diameter, while the large version is 380 mm (outer dimensions).
Replacement can be carried out with the light still on the wall. Open up the light, remove the old mounting plate, and insert the new mounting plate with two LED strips. The plate will fit the existing screw holes.
DOT L301 has an opal white polycarbonate shade. This diffuses the light, so an LED-optimised shade is not needed. However, old shades often show some yellow discolouration. We can supply new shades for DOT L301, if required – simply contact our lighting consultant.
The retrofit kit can be supplied with a colour temperature of 3,000 or 4,000 Kelvin, depending on customer requirements.
The light source was originally a compact fluorescent tube with power consumption of 18 W for the small DOT L301 and 36 W for the large model. The LED replacement kit will reduce consumption to 10 W for the small light and 12 W for the large one.
In addition to reducing power consumption, LED also substantially increases the useful life of the light source.
DOT L301 has a housing of cast silumin, which helps to ensure the light has a very long useful life. It also features a simple, timeless design, created by Luplau Poulsen Arkitekter (under the name Apart Design at that time) in 1995. The DOT light has often been selected to fit the surrounding architecture. Therefore it makes sense to retain the original light and simply upgrade the lighting technology to LED.
LED is the light source offering the lowest electricity consumption and the longest useful life. When upgrading from other light sources to LED, you are therefore not just saving on power. You are also ensuring more efficient use of other important resources, such as time, money and materials, as well as reducing CO2 emissions. Find out more about LED lighting upgrades here.
Classic lights from Lampas have been produced using many different light sources over the years. It is often possible to upgrade the lights to LED. Contact our team to find out about the available options for LED lighting upgrades for existing products.
