The MONK L202 is an outdoor light with an almost traditional, slanted shade. The light is extended away from the wall on a long pole so that the light shines downwards.
The light’s shade is combined with a vertical frame of strong aluminium, which both protects the light source and gives the lamp a refined, maritime look.
The MONK L202 comes into its own in classic or historic surroundings, where exterior lighting needs to be able to withstand the sea air. Use the MONK L202 on the hotel terrace, on the café’s facade or for your holiday home.
The whole light is made of seawater-resistant aluminium (silumin), which is powder-coated. We powder coat in any RAL colour, so you can choose a MONK L202 that will match the company’s design line.
The light housing is made of die cast silumin, while the post is extruded.
The light source is located behind opal white impact-resistant polycarbonate. It provides a diffused, glare-free, downward-facing light.
The MONK L202 was designed by architect Peter Bysted together with a bollard in the same design, the MONK L201.
In architect Peter Bysted’s view, exterior lighting should compliment the space it illuminates, not dominate it. He’s the man behind some of Lampas’ greatest successes.
