OWEN L800 WALL LIGHT / CEILING LIGHT

The OWEN L800 is a round wall and ceiling light, whose small design details and sensual materials add character to any room.

The OWEN L800 has a satiné white surface, housed in a ring of grey cast aluminium. The ring is broken in two places by openings, where the light shines out, just one of the fine design details.

The OWEN L800 is an indoor wall and ceiling light that does much more than simply provide light. It adds a whole lighting experience to any room. The small breaks in the ring catch the eye and make the light interesting and comfortable to look at. The aluminium ring is die cast, giving the light a soft look that almost looks as if it were drawn by hand.

The small openings are not just for decoration, but are hinges which made it easier to change lightbulbs in the OWEN L800 in the days before LED was available. Nowadays, when lightbulbs last longer, ease of replacing bulbs is no longer an issue. The hinges do, however, make it easy for electricians to install and upgrade the old OWEN L800 lights to LED technology. Round ceiling light with attractive details

The OWEN L800 is available in three sizes, each with their own character, due to the relationship between the ring and hinge size.

The 13 cm wide OWEN L800 features a small circle with large hinges. The light shines like a little, soft illuminating glow on the wall or ceiling. Arrange several in a row to light the way along a corridor or up a flight of stairs.

In the medium-sized 26 cm version, the relationship between the ring and hinges size is balanced equally. In this size, placed on an exposed brick wall or a ceiling in unusual material, the OWEN L800 is a design object in itself, as well as being an efficient source of light.

The largest OWEN L800, with a diameter of 32 cm, is characterised by its large, moon-like white surface, which can provide sufficient functional lighting for office areas and corridors.

All three lights can be surface mounted or semi-recessed, where the last option highlights the light´s contours particularly well.

Ceiling lights from Danish architects Cubo

The materials used in the OWEN L800 are die cast aluminium with a housing of satiné, UV-resistant polycarbonate. LED technology means the light is distributed evenly throughout the housing.

Choose between colour temperatures of 3000 or 4000 Kelvin.

The OWEN L800 was designed in 1998, the first series of lighting Cubo Arkitekter developed for Lampas. It is used in locations such as the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, together with its rectangular brother, the OWEN L801. Both lights are also available in outdoor versions, the OWEN L800U and the OWEN L801U.
